We built Televox on the infrastructure that makes this tractable: LiveKit for real-time voice, Deepgram for fast transcription, OpenAI for reasoning and tool use, Twilio for the phone system, and Cal.com for live scheduling. The result is an AI that answers in well under a second, books appointments during the call, and hands off to a human when it needs to.
We're a small team. We instrument everything, watch our latency closely, and aim to be honest about what the system can and can't do today.
