Televox books through Cal.com. If your reservation system (or a shared Google/Apple Calendar) syncs with Cal.com, the AI checks live availability and confirms the table. OpenTable and Resy don't expose a public booking API, so for those systems we collect the guest's preferred time and party size and send you a webhook to confirm manually — the guest gets an SMS that a staff member will confirm within an hour.

It collects the key qualifying information — event date, party size, style (seated/buffet), dietary needs, budget range, and the contact's name and phone — then fires a webhook to your CRM or email, and SMS's the caller that your catering coordinator will follow up within 24 hours. It doesn't try to quote or close the catering lead on the phone — that's your team's job.

Televox speaks English and Arabic (Gulf/Saudi dialect) today. On a phone call the caller picks a language at the start; in chat the agent simply replies in whatever language the customer writes. Spanish and other languages are on the roadmap but not available yet — if most of your callers speak Spanish, you'll want a service that offers it today.

During onboarding you upload your knowledge base — a document or set of documents covering your menu, hours, seasonal specials, allergen info, dress code, parking, and any policies. The AI draws from this document library on every call. When your specials change, you update the knowledge base document — no re-setup needed.

The agent warm-transfers complex requests (large party with unusual needs, a complaint about a prior visit, a media or event inquiry) to your manager on duty. The transfer only bridges when your manager picks up — the guest isn't left listening to a ringing line.
